Course Description

This 7-hour class will teach us to see Myofascial Trigger Point therapy as a full and complete protocol. This protocol is critically important for ensuring that the treatment provided, eliminates the trigger points if they are the source of muscular pain. We learn not to press “Where” it hurts, rather to locate the muscles that are “Why“ it hurts.

In this course, we will learn about early pioneers in the field of trigger point massage and manual therapy. We will learn the chemical and mechanical properties within muscles that can perpetuate muscular and fascial dysfunction and pain.

We will also learn how to press, where to press, and why we press on certain areas of the body (trigger points and taut bands of skeletal muscle).

This course will take you on a fascinating journey into muscles. This class is for anyone interested in patho-chemistry of muscle dysfunction and pain, so as to provide clients, family members, athletes a pain-free and fully functioning musculoskeletal system.

(During this time frame, 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm) the registrant will need to have a treatment table set up and a  client, family member, or partner with them so as to be able to practice the hands-on techniques shown.)
