Why did Mary Biancalana create this online learning channel?

I created this learning channel so I could gather the world’s leaders who treat and understand myofascial pain and dysfunction.  As a practitioner who has spent the past 25 years in full-time clinical practice, I have seen how our standard healthcare system fails when it comes to eliminating myofascial pain and dysfunction caused by trigger points in the muscles. So I created this channel and my courses so we could teach thousands of practitioners how to restore and optimize muscle function and eliminate pain!

Using these techniques, you will have the power to take someone who is suffering in pain and use the trigger point therapy treatment model and clinical reasoning to give them their life back! It is my (Mary Biancalana)  passion and dedication to this body of work that has kept me happy and healthy in this practice for the past 25 years. As a university-trained educator, with a bachelor's degree and master's degree in education, I felt it was my duty to provide the highest quality, most up-to-date research-driven education for massage therapists and other manual clinicians.

I welcome you and challenge you to go out  there and change the world, one client/patient at a time.

How did this learning channel come to be?

I (Mary Biancalana) had already been teaching seminars for 20 years all over the world, and early in 2019 I wanted to move to online education so I could reach more people.

In November, 2019 I did an overview of online education for massage therapists. What I learned was that continuing education for massage therapists and manual practitioners was in a sad state of affairs. Because of that, I vowed to develop and provide the highest quality, University-level online education! I knew that if I set my standards high, and used my degree in Education to create interesting, objective and clear-to-understand curriculum that I would attract the brightest and discerning practitioners to my courses. Also by setting set the bar way high, I hoped that others would improve their online education materials.

I also vowed to invite the world's leading experts in myofascial pain, facia, self-care, neuromuscular therapy, sports rehabilitation, and anatomy to have their own continuing education programming on my channel.

It has been a wonderful ride. I have already provided over 250 live, online and hybrid broadcast educational courses and workshops.

What's next? Fall of 2024 I will have a series of courses teaching about eliminating myofascial pain and dysfunction.
